Viz Media has been handling the localizations and North American releases for the Akira Himekawa The Legend of Zelda manga adaptations for years. Now, in October 2020, it will have another special edition set for people who have loved these retellings of certain video games’ stories. On October 20, 2020, The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition Box Set will be released for $125, and Amazon is already taking preorders.
This Legendary Edition Box Set bundles together hardcover versions of all five of Himekawa’s The Legend of Zelda manga volumes. This means you get the Legendary Editions, which are larger than usual volumes that compile all chapters into larger tomes, of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons / Oracle of Ages, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass.
All of these The Legend of Zelda manga volumes are immediately available, so people don’t have to wait for this special box set. Folks can find them individually or track down the paperback omnibus editions that first started rolling out in November 2018. In fact, a 25th anniversary box set with 10 volumes even appeared back in 2011.
The Legend of Zelda: Legendary Edition Box Set will launch on October 20, 2020.
