The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 ESRB Rating Appears

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake Switch 2 ESRB rating is the same as the 3DS remake that appeared in 2011.

Following the June 2026 Nintendo Direct reveal, there’s now a minor update regarding the Switch 2 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. As pointed out by BY2K on Resetera, there’s now an ESRB rating on the eShop listing for the upcoming action-RPG. It will be rated Everyone 10+, just like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS. [Thanks, Resetera!]

The official ESRB site doesn’t feature a listing for the game yet. It only shows the GameCube/Wii/Wii U and 3DS versions. So there are no exact explanations as to why there’s an Everyone 10+ right now with any potential examples. The only descriptors on the official eShop mention “animated blood” and “fantasy violence.” 

All we really know about this new remake stems from that trailer we saw last month. It primarily set the stage for the game, before showing a brief glimpse of young Link’s hands. In case you missed that, here’s that trailer.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 remake is in development and will release in 2026. The original game could be found on the Nintendo 64, with a GameCube port and Wii and Wii U Virtual Console releases following that. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D appeared on the 3DS in 2011.
