The Magus Sisters Are the Mageth Brothers in Final Fantasy XVI

The Magus Sisters are recurring characters in the Final Fantasy series, starting with their appearance as a boss in FFIV. The good news is, they do show up in the latest entry in a way! The bad news is, the Magus Sisters are really a Notorious Mark in Final Fantasy XVI now called the Mageth Brothers, and I did not see them use Delta Attack during that fight.

How do you find the Mageth Brothers, aka the Magus Sisters, in Final Fantasy XVI

So once you get past the second timeskip, you’ll eventually see a marker come up for the Mageth Brothers in Final Fantasy XVI. I believe it was around for a bit for me before I finally decided to finish it before going into the “Across the Narrows” main quest. The Hunt Board notes it is in the Imperial Province of Rosaria map at Quietsands. This is a very small area that is essentially just a beach, so you can’t miss them. You’ll even see the trio standing on the shore if you go to where I highlighted in the screenshot below.

This is an A-rank fight against three level 38 opponents, so expect a little trickiness if Clive is alone when you face them. While the Magus Sisters in Final Fantasy are Cindy, Sandy, and Mindy, the Final Fantasy XVI Mageth Brothers are Cindwydd, Sandwydd, and Cindwydd. Almost right when the fight begins, they’ll use Last Crusade. Another attack that came up during my fight with the trio was Crea y Cwm.

Now, typically beating one or two of the Magus Sisters could sometimes mean certain reactions. Here though, the only thing I noticed is Cindwydd would use Iron Gavel when he was the last one standing. (I don’t know if I killed them too fast for something else to happen?)

Beating the trio gets you 5,100 EXP, 90 AP, 13,000 gil, 30 renown, and a Meteorite.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. A demo is out now as well. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
