Taito, Kadokawa, and Kyoto Animation announced a new The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya figure of Haruhi herself for the Coreful line in honor of the 20th anniversary of the anime adaptation of the light novel and manga. It will first appear as prizes in Japanese arcades in the middle of October 2026, and a variant will only appear in Taito online crane games. There’s no word yet whether we’ll see this item worldwide, but past Coreful figures of characters like Frieren and Marin Kitagawa did appear on Amazon worldwide after their Japanese debut.

Each of these versions of Haruhi will stand at almost exactly seven inches tall (18cm). She wears her North High School uniform with brown cardigan over it and SOS Brigade arm band on her left arm. She’s pointing straight ahead for the pose. The Taito online crane game variant features a slightly different expression where her eyes are closed instead of open.

Here’s how original figure and variant will look:

This follows the return of the FuRyu BiCute Bunnies Haruhi Suzumiya figure of her in a bunny girl outfit, which showed up again in Japan in January 2026 and the US in March 2026.

It’s possible we could see a few more anniversary celebrations, figures, or pieces of merchandise show up for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime’s 20th. For example, an event happened in 2024 around the light novel’s anniversary. And The Gratitude of Haruhi Suzumiya anniversary event led to The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya showing up in Japanese theaters again.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Coreful figure of Haruhi and its variant will launch in Japan in the middle of October 2026. Yen Press handles the light novel in English, and the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.
