Final Fantasy XIV players can now ride in style with friends in the game. A new mount has been released and, while it has a steep price tag, it also lets a whole group party together. The FFXIV Chocobo Carriage Mount launched, and people can pick one up through the online store for $35.99.
Back in October 2019, the FFXIV Fan Fest in Seoul, Korea resulted in a certain mount request. During the Q&A, a person asked about a mount that would be a carriage pulled by chocobos. Some in-development art was shared in November 2019 by Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida. Now, it’s real.
People who pay for the item will get the Chocobo Carriage Whistle. Blowing it will cause the carriage to arrive, provided you already have your own chocobo. Up to four people can all ride in it at once, and it will have its own music. It also should look familiar, as it resembles the same carriage you’d see in some early game videos.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
