Shueisha and Netflix have announced that they will launch The One Piece anime show in February 2027. People will be able to watch the new anime adaptation on Netflix.
The companies also revealed that this new anime adaptation is being worked on by WIT Studio, which is widely known for Spy x Family and the first three seasons of Attack on Titan. The first season will comprise seven episodes that cover the first East Blue Saga—or to be more precise, the first fifty chapters of Eiichiro Oda’s manga series. All seven episodes, which total around 300 minutes, are also set to appear simultaneously when the title launches in early 2027.
The key staff list for the new anime adaptation also notably includes multiple members who previously worked on Attack on Titan. Notable members include Masashi Koizuka as the director, Kyoji Asano as the character design director, and Ryoma Kawamura as the animation producer.
This is not the first time Netflix has launched an exclusive adaptation of One Piece. The platform had earlier released a live-action adaptation of the manga that has since been launched in two seasons. It is also planning to release the third season of the live-action show in 2027.
The One Piece will launch worldwide on Netflix in February 2027, with all seven episodes of the first season set to launch simultaneously.
