The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation revealed that light novel series The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done!, which recently also got an anime adaptation, is getting a PlayStation 4 game that’s set to launch on February 27, 2020. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]
The game will have an Adventure Part, which will have two storylines – one following that of the main series, and one original storyline. There will be dialogue choices, as well as shogi sections. There are also beginner tips as well. The game’s original story is supervised by Shirou Shiratori, the writer of the original light novel.
As for the Shogi Part, you can face off against other characters in the series, such as Kuzuryuu, Ai Hinatsuru, Ai Yashijin, Ginko, and Keika. They’ll use moves that they used in the original work.
Finally, there’s a Quiz Part where you answer questions based on shogi, The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! trivia, and puzzle shogi. By getting them all correct, you unlock artwork.
The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! releases on PlayStation 4 on February 27, 2020.
