The next Sega Ages game has a release date. The Japanese Twitter account and official website note that Sega Ages Phantasy Star will appear on the Nintendo Switch eShop on October 31, 2018. It will not follow the same pattern as past installments in this series, which means it will not appear on the North American and European eShops on the same day. Sega PR Manager Jacob Nahin noted that the release date inin other regions will be different.
Sega Ages Phantasy Star features a number of additions to the classic Sega Master System game. It has an auto-mapping feature for the first-person dungeons. You also have compendiums that allow you to look up armor, items, monsters, and weapons. It also has a music player with FM Sound Unit tracks.
Previous Sega Ages titles for the Nintendo Switch include Sonic the Hedgehog and Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar. Those both made their worldwide debut on September 20, 2018. Future titles include games like Alex Kidd in Miracle World. In addition, DreamCast games might eventually become a part of the lineup.
