A live-action movie version of The Way of the Househusband will debut in 2022. The short trailer shows the main cast announcing the news. It will retain the same cast as the live-action J-drama adaptation, which aired in 2020. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
While the main actors and actresses will remain the same, the Tweet announcing the movie for The Way of the Househusband revealed that a special guest will appear. It is currently unknown what role the special guest will have. The official Twitter account for the movie has comments from the cast and crew in regards to their thoughts on the movie and how well they all work together. Kousuke Oono, who wrote the manga series, also drew commemorative artwork for the upcoming film.
The short video from the announcement has the actors and actresses for Tatsu, Miku, and Masa greeting the audience. Hiroshi Tamaki, who plays Tatsu, previously provided the likeness and voice for Soma in Lost Judgment. Masa’s actor, Jun Shison, appeared in the live-action J-drama for Anohana as Yukiatsu. Lastly, Miku’s actress, Haruna Kawaguchi, played Haruhi in the live-action version of Ouran High School Host Club.

Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband first appeared in Kurage Bunch in 2018, and is licensed by Viz in English. It follows former yakuza boss, Tatsu, after he retires from criminal life to become a househusband for his wife Miku. Currently, the anime for The Way of the Househusband is available on Netflix.
The live-action movie of The Way of the Househusband will premiere in 2022.
