There’s A Bit Of Valkyria Chronicles In Sega’s Shining Blade

Sega’s Shining series switches genres from action RPG to strategy RPG and most recently traditional RPG. Shining Blade for PSP has a strategy action realtime battle system, which is being compared to the BLiTZ tactics system from Valkyria Chronicles.

Well, Valkyria Chronicles with swords and magic instead of rifles and anti-tank lancers. Shining Blade puts players in control of five party members in battle. Cooperation is a said to be a key element. During event scenes players can talk to fellow party members and pick dialogue choices. The relationship you have with them affects cooperative techniques.

Shining Blade is in development for PSP and slated for release in spring 2012.
