There’s a Life-Sized Trico From The Last Guardian At Tokyo Game Show

Inside the genDESIGN booth at Tokyo Game Show you’ll find a life-sized version of Trico, the creature you interact with in The Last Guardian, on a six meter high screen.

This was revealed by genDESIGN on its Twitter account, where it shared a gif of the set-up, explaining that it’s “controlled by the same AI system as in the game.”

The implication here is that you can actually interact with Trico on the screen by moving in front of it. And, indeed, in the gif that the studio shared Trico seems to watch a person as they walk around.

If you weren’t aware, genDESIGN is the name of game director Fumito Ueda’s new independent studio, who are listed as the developers of The Last Guardian, and will continue to work together on more games in the future.
