The third Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy character trailer is live, and that means we get to see Claire “Lightning” Farron from the FFXIII trilogy in action. It goes over how her appearance changed between her mainline games and this Dissidia spin-off. After that, we see how the Agile fighter works on a team.

Things start by showing Lightning in her original game, then the art of her in more modern clothes in this Dissidia spin-off. We then see her in battle. The attack abilities she uses in this gameplay footage include Blaze Rush, Grav-con Unit, Army of One, and Thunderfall. Things close out with her speaking to the other Final Fantasy heroes and saying, “I’ll go in first and stir things up. That okay with you, Captain?”

As a reminder, Maaya Sakamoto voiced Lightning in the original games and returns to play her here. That’s not the only Final Fantasy heroine she’s voiced. She’s also the voice of Aerith Gainsborough in multiple Final Fantasy VII games and projects.

In case you missed some of the other Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy character trailers so far, here’s all the ones that have appeared in order of their appearance.

Since we seem to be going in order, Zidane from FFIX should be next, since there are no FFX or FFXI representatives at launch.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy pre-registration is open ahead of the March 2026 debut on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices, and you can see Lightning in it and in FFXIII on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
