This Mr. Saturn Plushie Almost Costs As Much As A Nintendo DS

Banpresto is selling a giant sized Mr. Saturn doll. It’s 45 centimeters (we’ll round that to 1.5 feet) tall! Unfortunately, a gift like this is hard to come by.

I’m not talking about the only in Japan kind of limited. You have to be lucky to even buy one. Only 500 giant Mr. Saturns will be made during the initial run. Banpresto is planning on selling them by a raffle if more than 500 people request one. Chances are that’s going to happen and the 12,000 yen ($133) price is going to shoot even higher in the secondary Yahoo Auctions market.

My favorite part is the box. Banpresto is shipping them in Escargot Express boxes. Now, that’s just awesome.
