This Week In Imports: Love Is In The Air… And Kamehamehas Too

 

Valentine’s Day is this week, and as such, Japan sees the release of various love sims and love-themed games, such as Atlus’ Catherine: Full Body. This remake adds a new Arrange mode for veterans to try out, and revamps the story to allow Vincent to take a fourth option in the form of dating Rin, a cute pink-haired girl who gets a job playing the piano at the Stray Sheep bar.

 

Apart from Catherine: Full Body are other games like Nekopara Vol. 2’s digital release on Nintendo Switch, as well as the 15th anniversary title for the Kiniro no Corda series, Kiniro no Corda Octave.

 

On the other hand, one decidedly unromantic game this week is the sight of shonen heroes fighting one another in a realistic-looking world in Jump Force. The game is a 3D 3v3 arena fighter with the entire team sharing one health bar, and brings together Shonen Jump heroes across history, including Dai from Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.
