Hideo Kojima brainchild Death Stranding is certainly making waves this week, especially as this is the auteur director’s first game to be released since leaving Konami. The game focuses on having protagonist Sam (played by Norman Reedus) take on the task of delivering goods all around America, and convincing as many people as possible to reconnect with the world, in a futuristic version of Earth that is plagued by the mysterious and dangerous BTs.
On the smaller end of the spectrum, there are also some games to look out for. Horror title Tokyo Dark is set to come to the Nintendo Switch this week, while the Kunio-kun series deals with time-traveling enemies in Stay Cool, Kobayashi-san!. The trilogy of Grisaia series visual novels will also hit Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile, Good-Feel’s self-published title Monkey Barrels locks and loads for release this week. Finally, the Groove Coaster series’ latest addition on Nintendo Switch features Virtual YouTubers and Touhou heroines in something of an unconventional twist.
