image This year, New Year’s Eve is on a Thursday, the day most games come out in Japan. So, stores are taking a break from stocking new games until January 7 when Avatar: The Game kicks off 2010.

Releases in North America and Europe are sparse too. The Magic Obelisk debuts on WiiWare today, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers came out this weekend, and that’s about it until next year.

 

Now might be a good time to chip away at your personal backlog.
