Starfish, the team behind Elimage, is resurrecting an NEC PC game for the Nintendo DS. I never played the original Tokyo Twilight Busters, but this shrine makes the adventure game look fairly graphic and borderline NSFW. Wolfteam, the development staff behind Arcus Odyssey for the Genesis and some of Namco Bandai’s Tales games, created Tokyo Twilight Busters back in 1995. It’s unlikely many of the original staff will be working on the remake since Wolfteam dissolved many years ago. Actually, it isn’t even clear if Tokyo Twilight Busters for the DS is a full remake or a spiritual sequel since all we have is this poster, but if you’re into horror/adventure games and command a working knowledge of Japanese be on the lookout for this in February 2009.

If anyone played the original share your thoughts about Tokyo Twilight Busters in the comments. The early 1900s horror story sounds somewhat interesting and the supernatural themes vaguely remind me of the Shin Megami Tensei series, only with more gore.
