People will be able to face new opponents in Touhou Spell Bubble. This time, it will be other players. Taito announced a new patch for the game. Once people download the immediately available update, they will be able to access online multiplayer in Touhou Spell Bubble.
There will be two ways to play Touhou Spell Bubble online. One will involve a local Private Match mode. These are more casual. People can create private rooms for playing people they know.. The other mode is Ranked Match. That involves earning (and losing) points as you play other people. As you take part, you can earn places on leaderboards.
As a reminder of how it works, Touhou Spell Bubble is a Puzzle Bobble/Bust-a-Move game with rhythm elements. You shoot and tap in time with the music as you play. The songs are pulled from the Touhou Project series, as are the characters and their special abilities. There’s also an original story.
Here’s a trailer to show how it works.
To go along with the online update, there is also a Touhou Spell Bubble sale in effect. Normally, the game costs $54.99. At the moment it is $27.49 on the eShop.
Touhou Spell Bubble is available for the Nintendo Switch. Its free update is out now.
