Gungho and Nihon Falcom released a The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter demo worldwide that allows someone to create saves that can be used in the full game. As the official site noted, it will be available for the Switch, PS5, and PC via Steam. The Switch version is Switch 2 compatible.
This demo is a slice of the full version of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, but doesn’t provide access to everything. People can go through the prologue and first chapter. There’s no time limit for playing, so you can take as long as you want to go through that. If you played the first game, you can also load a finished save file for Classic Style SC Costumes to use with the main characters. (Those are just cosmetic.) The only two full-game features missing are the Movie and Viewer Modes.
There are also two new trailers that appeared alongside this release. First, here’s the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter opening movie. That will feature some spoilers.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC on September 17, 2026, and standard and collector’s editions are available. The 1st Chapter remake is already available on the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC.
