Dan FitzGerald and Lisa Bromiel have announced that their competitive dogsledding game Dog Sled Saga will arrive on Steam Early Access on December 8th.

You start off as a rookie musher and will enter races with your team of dogs to earn money for placing well. During races, you need to keep an eye on the stamina of each dog, throwing them your limited supply of treats to revive, as well as steer to dodge hazards.

With the money you earn, you can hire new dogs making sure to select the best ones for the job, and then train them up to improve their unique skills.

You’ll also need to learn about the art of mushing from your mentor, as well as spend time with your dogs to get to know them during practice sessions.

As you compete, you’ll grow fans that you can impress with flashy moves during races (at your own risk), which will help to impress sponsors that can offer you money in exchange for advertising.

You can purchase Dog Sled Saga on Steam Early Access. More information on the game can be found on its website.
