Square Enix decided its gamescom 2025 shadowdrop would be another port of the strategy game Triangle Strategy, as it is now on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. It is on sale on the Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store to celebrate the launch until September 3, 2025. This means the price is temporarily $41.99 instead of $59.99.
Triangle Strategy is the story of a continent once again on the verge of war as the result of the political greed of Aesfrost. We follow Serenoa, who will be the next head of House Wolffort and is allied with Glenbrook, as he makes important decisions that shape the direction of the campaign and fate of countries. Things aren’t as simple as they may seem, and a number of turn-based battles on grids with allies appear as we head out on the journey.
This game turned three years old this year. It started out as a Switch exclusive in March 2022, before being ported to PCs later that year. After that, a VR version of the game showed up on Meta Quest headsets in October 2024. This Xbox Series X and PS5 Triangle Strategy release means it is everywhere now.
