A PC visual novel is making the jump to PlayStation 4s. Prototype will bring Fatal Twelve to North America and Japan on August 8, 2019. It will only be available digitally outside of Japan and cost $39.99.
In Fatal Twelve, players follow a young woman named Rinka. She’s a high schooler with an ordinary life and good friends named Naomi and Miharu. She works at Lion Cafe while her grandmother is taking care of a family member in the countryside. However, her life is rocked when she and Naomi are caught up in an incident when coming home on the train. There’s an explosion, and she gives her life to keep Naomi safe.
Except, Rinka doesn’t die. She’s alive again, but only because she is one of twelve people participating in the twelve-week long Divine Selection. As Numeral I, she fights for the shot at getting her life again and staying alive. However, in a twist, her friend Miharu is also among the twelve Numerals competing in the trials.
Here is the Fatal Twelve opening movie.
