NEC’s TurboGrafx-16 was the dark horse in the 16-bit console cycle. It appeared in Japan and North America, but a limited release in Europe meant many gamers missed out on Bonk, Bomberman and Cosmic Fantasy. Since the launch of the Wii, Europe has a chance to check out some of Hudson’s best and finally Oceania is going to get a chance to sample TurboGrafx-16 games in July. Two titles have been announced Bomberman ’93 and Bonk’s Adventure with sixty more games in the pipeline. Key games to pick up if you have never played a TurboGrafx-16: the Bonk series, Dragon’s Curse (*actually a Wonder Boy game!), Bomberman, Air Zonk, and Ninja Spirit.
