Marion and her sword-wielding bodyguard Linca from Atelier Ayesha are confirmed to be playable characters in Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. Dengeki PlaySation announced the news and showed new costumes for both characters.
Linca, now 24 years old, wears a white jacket, but still carries a gigantic sword. She is a battle specialist that supports Marion. Her sword skills are first class, but Linca’s personality is easily misunderstood which causes problems. Marion is 26 years old and dropped the black jacket she used to wear. Marion is still investigating areas and just completed a mission in a remote region and is heading to another distant region. Her achievements have been acknowledged and Marion is the leader of the Kolseit branch development team.
The magazine also introduces two brand new characters, Colland the popular president of the Kolseit branch, and Duke who used to work in the Kolseit branch special forces team until he got injured. In the Kolseit region, there are ruins floating high in the sky and are protected by turbulent winds.
Atelier Escha & Logy has two protagonists and similar to Tales of Xillia, the prologue changes depending on who you start with. Escha is in the an apple orchard in the Kolseit branch while Logy arrives in Kolseit through a balloon. Logy has alchemy skills that allow him to customize equipment and disassemble relics down to their raw materials and recipe.
Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky is scheduled to come out for PlayStation 3 on June 27.
