Under Defeat HD is a vertical shooter, which means the game will have borders if you want to play it in its proper resolution. Border-paper is common, even G.rev’s Xbox 360 shooter Strania uses it. Under Defeat HD has an… unusual take on borders.

The game’s 16:9 widescreen mode has an experimental look that shows the game in the center and flips the game 90 degrees and plays it in the border.

That’s one of the new features in Under Defeat HD. G.rev also added a vertical or "tate" mode for shooter fans that don’t mind rotating their TVs and polished 3D graphics.

 

Under Defeat HD is slated for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2012.
