Remember PlayStation Mobile? The Android based platform that works on PlayStation Vita and select Sony smartphones? Games like Gunhouse and FK Digital’s Mononoke Slashdown are some of the PSM games out now.

Sony will extend the PlayStation Mobile developers program to twelve more countries – Australia, Brazil, Columbia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, and Thailand – beginning on May 29. While 32 countries can develop PSM games, only 18 countries can currently purchase PlayStation Mobile titles. On June 25, four more countries – Austria, India, Poland, and Switzerland – will get access to PSM games on PlayStation Vita.

More good news for developers, Unity for PlayStation Mobile is now in public preview. Unity for PSM does not require anymore licenses if you have the free version of Unity or paid for Unity Pro you can develop PSM games. The final version of Unity for PSM is scheduled to launch this summer.
