Unlocking Pajama Parties In Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX

Know what’s great about Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX? You know, beyond the music, dancing, jingles, Reversi, and Puyo Puyo 39? The game gives you the ability to customize your Vocaloid friends. If you’ve earned enough Mirai Points from playing along to the songs, you can spend that cash in the in-game shop on clothing, furniture, room decorations, and food.

But the real question is, why does one outfit always seem to remain locked? A few of the costumes for characters have special conditions applied to them. For example, you have to dress up once to unlock Yukatas, Puyo Puyo outfits for Miku and Kaito require you to beat that mode with them, and you can’t get a Snow Miku kimono unless you’ve bought the figure and placed it in a room.

There’s one costume set for all Vocaloids in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX that has requirements so steep that even I haven’t unlocked it yet in this version of the game. It’s why I’m using the official art as an example instead. See, if you befriend a Vocaloid, then you’ll be able to buy pajamas for him or her in town. This only happens if you max out affection for a characters. It can end up being a time consuming and expensive process.

First, you’re going to want to rent either the Penthouse or Villa room for the Vocaloid you’re trying to win over. The Penthouse is 30,000 MP a week and the Villa is 100,000 MP for one week. Both give a huge boost in winning a Vocaloid over.

Next, you’re going to need to visit Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX every day for about a week and a half. Each day, you’re going to want to give the Vocaloid you want a pajama outfit for at least 1,000 MP allowance and a snack. The kind of snack helps, since some are more expensive than others, but I’ve been going with the 500 MP Marble Soda (Ramune) every day. Though, if you’d like, playing Reversi once a day should help

If all goes well, then you should receive a notification from the game before the two week mark saying that that character’s pajamas are now available for 10,000 MP.

Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX is immediately available for the Nintendo 3DS.
