Enemies may try to bury the player in a torrent of laser fire, but they’re just giving skilled player more fuel for their own deadly weapons in RefRain -prism memories-, which is coming to Steam on May 12.
Players dive into the digital world of RefRain -prism memories- using one of three different ships, each with different fighting capabilities. Must Viper is the balanced one, Blitz Lester works best when up close, and the Bronx Terror is most effective at sniping.
On top of their regular combat abilities, each ship will charge the M.E.F.A2 gauge as they damage enemies, letting players loose powerful attacks when it’s full. This gauge can be charged much faster if players use the Concept Reactor, a weapon that will turn enemy projectiles into collectible prisms that fill up the M.E.F.A2 gauge.
By charging the M.E.F.A2 gauge with carefully transformed enemy shots, RefRain -prism memories- encourages aggressive play against its bullet hell arrays.
