There’s a new update on Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, and this one led off by showing the Naruto, Hinata, and Boruto’s Uzumaki family and Sasuke, Sakura, and Sarada’s Uchiha family combination technique attack. Bandai Namco’s announcement explained how each one works and showed screenshots from it. It also went over the online versus mode options, as well as showed the cat ear customization players can earn.

When it comes to the Uzumaki and Uchiha family combination secret techniques, Naruto’s is far sillier. It doesn’t feature the full family, as Himawari is absent. Rather than all three attacking, it’s really just Hinata doing the damage. This is because Boruto brought along X Cards, including one that embarrassed her, and the ensuing “assault” involves her feelings about the situation. Conversely, the Uchiha family’s attack is far more serious, involving each family member doing their part before Sarada performs Chidori.

Here’s Naruto, Hinata, and Boruto Uzumaki performing Uzumaki Double Palm Strike.

And this is how Sasuke, Sakura, and Sarada Uchiha look when using Uchiha Cherry Blossom Shock in Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.

As for online fights, there will be ranked and casual options. Normal controls will be available. A “Simple” option will be present, but the announcement didn’t note if any limitations will keep it from being used online. The latest announcement also showed the cat ears that will be a battle reward. In the past, we learned Baryon Mode Naruto and Supporting Kage Sasuke would appear in this entry.
