Valkyria Chronicles 4 Shares Details On Its New And Explosive Grenadier Class

Following the reveal of Valkyria Chronicles 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, Sega had more to share about the upcoming tactical RPG in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

• The producer is Katsura Mikami, who was also the producer of Valkyria: Azure Revolution.

• Valkyria Chronicles 4 is set in a cold region and set in the same period as the first Valkyria Chronicles.

• A new soldier called “Grenadier” is being introduced, and they’ll be able to use grenade launchers to shoot from long range or shoot up to high altitudes. Being able to lob grenades means that they’ll also get to shoot them over cover.

• When you have allies up ahead, they can give you the positional information so that Grenadier allies from behind can hit without actually having to see the enemies themselves.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 releases in Japan on March 21, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game releases in North America and Europe in 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Catch up on more details and the first trailer for the game in our previous report.
