There are more troubles for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2. The game not only won’t appear in 2021, but it won’t have the same people making it. In the Paradox Interactive Year-end Report 2020, it confirmed the delay and dismissal of Hardsuit Labs.

The developer change and delay came up after discussions about Paradox Interactive game quality. It noted that this is the latest major delay following the one that pushed it out of 2020. It also didn’t say which developer was brought on to finish Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2’s development.

Here’s another statement about the shift in development from the game’s official Twitter account.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is a sequel to a 2004 PC RPG of the same name and is based on the Vampire: the Masquerade tabletop game. In it, players will choose which clan they join, what supernatural abilities they develop, and how the handle certain missions.

Since it was announced, both Paradox Interactive and developer Hardsuit Labs announced multiple Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 delays. There have also been other issues. For example, the developer and publisher removed Narrative Lead Brian Mitsoda and Creative Director Ka’ai Cluney from the project back in August 2020.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
