Vanillaware’s next: Oboro Muramasa Youtouden

I think everyone else is talking about this by now, but these scans Jeff L. sent in (thanks again!) are so beautiful we have to post something about Oboro Muramasa Youtouden. The title is coming out for the Wii and it’s made by the creators of Odin Sphere. Surprise! Like Odin Sphere this is being coined as a 2D action RPG with “non-stop battles” as described by Famitsu.

Two characters have been revealed Kisuke (the blue warrior with the scarf on the right) who is searching to piece together his memory and Momohime, who has not appeared in any gameplay shots. The gameplay consists of your 2D action fare with the addition of waggle to cast ninpo. Another tidbit about the game is Marvelous is acting as the publisher and they have it slated for 2008. You know Atlus has a decent relationship with Marvelous and Vanillaware…. Oh and they are Wii developers too!
