The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack got more Genesis games. On December 15, 2022, Nintendo revealed four games would be available in every region. If someone subscribes to the higher tier, they can play Alien Storm, Columns, Golden Axe 2, and Virtua Fighter 2 on the Switch. It is also possible to engage in multiplayer with others offline or, if they also subscribe, online.
All four of these Nintendo Switch Online Genesis games feature multiplayer elements. Columns has a Doubles mode, for example. Alien Storm and Golden Axe 2 are cooperative adventures. People can face off in Virtua Fighter 2’s versus mode.

It’s been quite a while since new Genesis games joined the collection. Back in July 2022, four more joined. That batch included Comix Zone, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Target Earth, and Zero Wing. Past additions added Treasure titles like Alien Soldier and Light Crusader.
Alien Storm, Columns, Golden Axe 2, and Virtua Fighter 2 are now available in the Sega Genesis app for Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers. The Expansion Pack costs $49.99 for a year for a single membership and $79.99 for a family membership.
