Back in May 2024, Suzumura announced a break to recuperate from poor health. He returned to voice acting work ‌a month later in June 2024. According to Intention’s announcement, it appears that he didn’t make a full recovery back then, as he has still been feeling ill. His doctor diagnosed him with adjustment disorder. Based on this result, Suzumura will go on a break to focus on his own well-being. At the end of the message, Intention thanks everyone for all of their support, as well as apologizes for the worry and trouble that this causes.

Kenichi Suzumura is a familiar voice for anime and video game fans, as he’s portrayed many major or memorable roles throughout his career. Some of his most prominent anime roles include Shinn Asuka in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, Rogue in Fairy Tail, and Lavi in D.Gray-Man. His video game roles include Zack Fair in the Final Fantasy VII series, Sandalphon in Granblue Fantasy, and Senel in Tales of Legendia.

Intention will announce in the future when Suzumura will return to work.
