Warm up with Wii Fit, work out with Wii Exercise

After writing about Rocket Company yesterday I suddenly remembered they were working on Wii Exercise. Yes, a competitor for Wii Fit is already in development. In fact we talked about it last year. The original announcement explained Wii Exercise would give users a proper workout through a series of nunchuck/remote punches. It sounded similar to shadow boxing only with a TV and without any weight sensing peripheral.

However, the success of Wii Fit may have made Rocket Company change their game plan. Wii Exercise now supports the balance board for power training activities. With the Wii Fit bundled accessory players can do squats, push ups and sit ups too. Don’t worry there is still plenty of punching to be done in Wii Exercise too.
