Monster Hunter Rise will be home to many new monsters, and one of them is Goss Harag. To help people get in the right mindset for facing the beast, part of the March 9, 2021 presentation involved a look at a hunt involving it. The 14 minute video shows a hunter bearing a Charge Blade out with Palico and Palamute allies to fight one.
The sample begins by showing how people can get situated before heading out on a quest. It shows the hunter in the tent and going through different Switch Skill options. For example, people can get a better look at the Axe Hopper ability. The trio then heads to chase down the Goss Harag in Monster Hunter Rise’s Frost Mountains.
It’s at the 2:30 mark that the namahage-inspired Goss Harag first appears. It uses wild swings, barreling attacks, ground pounds, and ice-base attacks to fight back against the player in the segments. However, things get more intense when the Tetranadon appears after the 4:20 mark. Especially since the hunter later uses the Wirebug to mount the Tetranadon and use it to fight the Goss Harag.
Here’s the full Monster Hunter Rise Goss Harag video.
Monster Hunter Rise will come to the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021, with its demo returning on March 11, 2021. It will come to the PC in early 2022.
