At PAX West 2017, Square Enix offered an English demo of Secret of Mana, so people could see how the remake compares to the original Super Nintendo game. For those unable to make it to the event, a live stream showed off just over ten minutes of footage taking from the introduction. Players could follow Randi and his friends as they explore and watch as he finds the Mana Sword.

What’s interesting about the footage is that it shows one of the ways the Secret of Mana remake pays tribute to the original game. There is now a mini-map when Randi and other characters are roaming in the field. The mini-map is actually the Super Nintendo version of the game’s graphics.

Secret of Mana will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC on February 15, 2018.
