Tales of Xillia offers a unique experience compared to some other entries in the series, as the game lets you the option to choose between Jude Mathis and Millia Maxwell as your main character. After seeing Millia wake from meditation to realize spirits are dying, her role is Maxwell is explained and watching Jude running through his school’s hall, we pick an avatar. This means different stories and separate opening movies for each one. Bandai Namco shared both of the Tales of Xillia Remastered opening movies for each character to show how they’ll look in the rerelease.

Since these are both opening movies for the same game, both the Tales of Xillia Remastered opening movies for Jude and Millia have a lot in common. Both use the same theme song, which is still Ayumi Hamasaki’s “Progress.” Scenes with some supporting characters, like Alvin, Leia Rolando, Elize Lutus, and Rowen Ilbert, remain the same throughout. However, we do see both of the leads in their elements, such as Millia in nature and Jude at work in school, in their respective videos.
