The Pyro Archon Mauvika is about to become a playable character in Genshin Impact and the Natlan saga is coming to an end, so HoYoVerse honored the occasion with an anime short called “Sunset.” It focuses on her past and her mission. It follows a brief “Stand with Mauvika” trailer designed to promote her debut.

Editor’s Note: The new Genshin Impact anime short features spoilers for the Natlan storyline.

The video begins with a look at the past and Mauvika’s origins. While her allies are toasting her ahead of a major fight and trip, she’s thinking about her family. She is recalling a conversation with her little sister Hine. The goal is to offer insight into her motivations and why she fights. We then see get to see her take a moment as she waits for sunset and continues her course. Some notable character appearances, aside from Hine and Mauvika themselves, include cameos from Burkina, Tupac, Sundjatta, and other characters who were important to the Pyro Archon and part of the fight.
