Way of the Samurai Spinoff Katanakami Gets February 20 Release Date And Shiren First-Print DLC

Yesterday, Spike Chunsoft and Acquire announced that the spinoff of the Way of the Samurai series, Katanakami, will release on February 20, 2020. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]   For those unfamiliar with Katanakami, it’s a top-down hack and slash game featuring procedurally-generated dungeons, and a focus on the swordplay compared to the main games.   Additionally, info on the first-print DLC for the game was released. The first DLC is for a set of five katanas based off historical famous swords in real life. The second DLC is a set of clothes and swords that makes the protagonist look like a certain wanderer from Spike Chunsoft’s Shiren series.   Katanakami releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in early 2020.
