Awakening in a dark, unknown place makes for difficult times for most game characters, but the protagonist of Hollow Halls finds that their legs don’t work and their arms are weak when they get up. Forced to use a wheelchair to slowly move around, players will need to take extreme care to avoid the thing that hides in the shadows around them, as there is no hope for a quick escape.
Players are confined to a wheelchair for the duration of Hollow Halls, and so will only be able to slowly creep through the darkness. As they do so, they’ll find items and small hints of the history and storyline, solving puzzles as they figure out why they have awoken to this strange situation.
Hollow Halls aims for a similar horror experience to eerie titles like Silent Hill, focusing more on creating a creepy atmosphere than on using jump scares to startle the player.
Having completed the Greenlight process, the developer claims that Hollow Halls will release some time very soon.
