While video game releases have slowed in the West, some of Japan’s biggest games have yet to debut. Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN- from Arc System Works comes out for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this week with cross platform online play.
Kamen Rider: Summonride is another title to keep an eye on. It’s basically Bandai Namco’s take on the toys to life genre, but only with Kamen Rider characters. Considering Bandai makes figures this could be a big title for the company as a whole if it’s a success. However, Disney Infinity and Skylanders (which was released by Square Enix) have not been as big in Japan as they have in the West. Spike Chunsoft also has an expanded version of their Attack on Titan game for Nintendo 3DS, which was a big seller in Japan last year. Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind Chain adds online play, more Titans to fight, new areas, and an extra playable character.
