Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind Sega’s espionage RPG Alpha Protocol and Fallout: New Vegas, is working on new games based on Robert Jordon’s The Wheel of Time with publisher/producer Red Eagle Games. Not much is known about these Wheel of Time games other than the platforms. Red Eagle Games is planning to release them for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Haven’t heard of Red Eagle Games before? They’re a new studio that is also making a Wheel of Time film with Universal. Electronic Arts will distribute the game, probably when the movie comes out.
Of course, this won’t be the first game based on The Wheel of Time. A first person shooter came out a decade ago on PCs. Since Obsidian in involved it looks like this Wheel of Time game may be a role playing game.
