Diablo IV Season 1, the Season of the Malignant, is underway. It brings new content, like a seasonal-contained storyline, and has shaken up the meta for class builds. Fortunately, players have quite some time before Diablo IV Season 1 ends, as it won’t close out until the beginning of October 2023.
How long do I have to play Diablo IV Season 1 before it ends?
Diablo IV Season 1 began on July 20, 2023 and is set to run until October 9, 2023. This means you have a total of 81 days to get as much out of the Season of the Malignant before it wraps up. While Season 1 began at 10am PT/1pm ET, we currently don’t know what time it will end; just that it will be sometime on October 9, 2023.
Does my progress carry over at the end of Season of the Malignant?
Once the Season of the Malignant ends, your Season 1 character will automatically be transferred over to the Eternal Realm and will not carry over into Diablo IV Season 2. After moving onto the Eternal Realm, your character will lose all of its season-only content, such as any Malignant Hearts collected and Infested Sockets. Progress such as EXP, Skills learned, and items earned will remain available.
Diablo IV is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. If you own a Steam Deck, it can run the game.
