Has a Stellar Blade PC release date been announced?
At the time of writing, no Stellar Blade PC release date has been announced, and the game is currently exclusive to PlayStation 5. While Sony announced it had scooped up its exclusivity in September 2021, many players have been confused about its potential release on PC due to the game’s development history.
Originally called Project Eve, developer Shift Up initially intended the action game to be released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. However, the title has since been renamed to Stellar Blade and will be released on PlayStation 5 exclusively on April 26, 2024. The question still remains, though: will Stellar Blade be coming to PC? The answer is a bit complicated.
Yes, there is a good chance that Stellar Blade will eventually be released on PC if Sony’s recent history is anything to go off of. Starting in 2019, PlayStation exclusives began to have ports released on Steam. Since then, Sony has released The Last of Us, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Uncharted, Horizon, and many more exclusives on PC.
When will Stellar Blade likely be released on Steam?
First off, there is no guarantee that Stellar Blade will be released on PC. However, if Sony continues with their recent release pattern, we may have a pretty good idea of when we can expect the Shift Up title to make its way on Steam. Based on recent exclusives, a Stellar Blade PC release date could be set for April 2026.
Sony’s last major exclusive to come to PC was Horizon Forbidden West, which was originally released on PlayStation 5 in February 2022. The game is barely set to launch on Steam two years later, on March 21, 2024. Helldivers 2 was technically released this year on PC and console at the same time. However, the Arrowhead Game Studios shooter was originally announced for both platforms, whereas Stellar Blade was not.

While a release on Steam is not guaranteed, it’s likely to debut on PC two years after its console release based on how Sony has handled other exclusives.
