There are only two Windmills in Fortnite, and they are both located near train tracks on the east side of the map. The first and main “Windmill” can be found next to Grim Gate. To complete the challenge, you need to “air jump” next to it while using airbending.

However, there is also a second “Other Windmill” in the game, which can also be used for the challenge. For your convenience, we have provided a map below that shows the exact location of each Windmill in Fortnite:

As mentioned above, there are only two locations on the entire map that feature “the Windmill” and the “Other Windmill.” Below, we will break down the best spots to land to reach these two locations quickly.

  • Grim Gate
    • Northeast of Grim Gate is a Windmill underneath the train tracks that run south of Lavish Lair.
  • Snooty Steppes
    • Directly east of Snooty Steppes is a Windmill that is located underneath the train tracks that run below Fencing Fields.

How to Air Jump at the Windmill in Fortnite

The trickiest part of completing the Air Jump at the Windmill quest in Fortnite is obtaining an airbending scroll. However, the task can be done quickly at the start of your match if you know the right places to land. As soon as your match starts, hop out of the Party Bus when it passes north of Grand Glacier or next to Brawler’s Battleground.

Both locations have the game’s two Air Shrines, which will allow you to get airbending. The second you equip airbending, Press “R2” (PlayStation) or “RT” (Xbox) to use the “Air Wheel” ability. Sprint across the map to the two Windmill locations marked on the map above.

You can also find the two best routes to Air Jump over a Windmill with the map below:

Once you are near a Windmill, just double tap “X” (PlayStation) or “A” (Xbox) to Air Jump. However, you need to have your airbending scroll equipped. It might also help to already be in your Air Wheel stance. However you do it, just jump with airbending next to either of the two Windmills to complete the Air Chakra challenge.
