Where Is Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The Tieflings are a group you can help save during Act 1 at the Emerald Grove in Baldur’s Gate 3. On their way to the city in Act 2, they stop by the Last Light Inn where you can, once again, help them out. The Tiefling, Rolan, has gone missing in his attempts to save two friends. It is now up to you to find Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3.

How to Find and Rescue Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3

Fortunately, you don’t have to go out of your way to locate Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you are already on your way to the Moonrise Towers for the main plot of Act 2, you’ll run right by him. On the far southern side of the shadow cursed lands, there is a bridge that runs west and reaches the Tollhouse, followed by Moonrise Towers.

Just to the south of the eastern entrance to this bridge is where Rolan is found. When you stumble upon him, you’ll immediately enter a fight with a couple of shadows. Your goal here is not only defeat the shadows, but also protect Rolan in the process.

They seem to only target him for the most part, so you’ll want to keep him alive the best you can. I suggest having a healer along like Shadowheart to constantly take care of his wounds every turn. If you don’t have a healer, throw a potion of healing near his feet to heal him from afar. Just make sure not to hit him with the potion directly, or it will deal damage instead of recovering it.

After defeating the shadows and rescuing Rolan, he will return to the Last Light Inn where he will once again be safe from the cursed shadow lands.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PCs and will release for the PS5 on September 6, 2023.
