Not long after leaving the Suthorn region of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you may happen upon an NPC that tells Zelda that the Great Fairy is rumored to live in Lake Hyrule. While you do need to clear out a minor rift first, finding the series’ staple is quite easy.
Where do I find the Great Fairy in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?
First, as you head north near Lake Hyrule, you’ll see a smaller Rift. Tri will explain this is connected to the Still World, but isn’t a full dungeon. Instead, you need to find three groups of Tri’s friends to fix it and proceed in the area. This is quite easy. The map is set up with basically a triangle of landmasses underwater. The first cluster is immediately ahead of Zelda, in an area with some shadowy, violent fish. The second is underwater in the upper left-hand corner of the map. You’ll need to swim through a hidden gap in the wall, use Tri to bind to a stone on the water’s floor, and lift that out of the way. You can then claim those friends. The upper right corner is where the final group is trapped. Getting all three immediately repairs the world and fixes the world.
From there, you’ll see a rather large and notable island in the middle of Lake Hyrule. I’ve noted it on the map screenshot below. That’s where the Great Fairy’s shrine is in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
While initially it will just look like an ordinary landmass, visiting at least once and talking to her will cause a fairy icon to appear there permanently. A fast travel waypoint is also outside of it. Which is convenient, since you’ll need to return back to upgrade your accessory slots or pick up the two fairies that float around for your empty bottles!
How many rupees do I need to give The Great Fairy for accessory slots in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?
I mean, I recommend buying at least two accessory slots when you meet the Great Fairy. It’s 100 rupees for the first one, then 300 rupees for the second. She will sell additional slots after that! However, from my experience playing, two is fine if you want to save your money for other items. One can be a more “permanent” one, perhaps for items that increase monster drops, heart drops, or damage reduction, and the other can be for ones that assist in certain situations like climbing or swimming.
Here are the tiers for buying extra accessory slots from the Great Fairy in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom:
- 100 Rupees for the first slot.
- 300 Rupees for the second slot.
- 500 Rupees for the third slot.
- 1,000 Rupees for the final slot.
As for where to get accessories, they come up in multiple ways! As Zelda travels around Hyrule, she’ll find the shops in each town will typically sell one exclusive accessory. For example, the River Zora shop sells an accessory that lets her swim faster. You can also get them for completing challenges. A certain optional one rewards you with an accessory that reduces damage taken. After going through the Suthorn Ruins dungeon, you’ll also get an accessory that makes hearts drop more frequently.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
