When you reach Scrubton in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, one of the Deku Scrubs will task you with finding the possible rain-making monster for a reward. Fortunately, you don’t need to go too far to find the monster echo you need for this quest.
Where do I find the rain-making monster in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom?
Immediately after entering Scrubton, you’ll see a Deku Scrub to the right with the telltale sidequest symbol overhead. Talk to the character. The villager will note that whenever it is raining, there seems to be a certain monster making a sound nearby. You’re then tasked with investigating to see if it really is the monster changing the weather.
Here’s a screenshot I took showing exactly where this Deku Scrub is on the map.Â
While the monster we need is found in multiple areas around the Faron Wetlands, the easiest way to find one is to head east. Walk past the smoothie shop. Head north, then turn right to go east again at the fork. You’ll notice it is starting to rain. Two Buzz Blobs are immediately nearby, but they aren’t what we’re looking for to complete the quest! They are dangerously though, as the rain seems to make their electrical fields worse.Â
Either stack beds and trampolines or use a Crawltula echo and bind to reach the area above the waterfall. There will be a blue frog croaking, with musical notes surrounding it. That’s a Drippitune, and it is the rain-making monster we need to beat this The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom sidequest.
The Drippitune is harmless. It just constantly croaks. Make some rock echos and toss them at it to bludgeon it to death. Once it is defeated, learn to make that echo. Head back to the Deku Scrub and summon a Drippitune echo. A scene will automatically trigger showing what happens when this monster makes a sound. Zelda will get 8 Electro Apples for helping.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
