Palworld Breeding Anubis

With Anubis being an end-game boss, you may be wondering if it can be bred in Palworld. The answer is a resounding yes! In fact, Anubis can technically be obtained at around level 35, as there are over 7 breeding combinations that will hatch the Ground-type Pal.

To use breeding in Palworld, you will need to be at least level 19, as that is when you can first unlock the Breeding Farm in your Technology menu. You will also need at least one Male and one Female Pal in order for this to work.

Palworld Anubis Breeding Combinations

  • Arsox x Pyrin
  • Beakon x Eikthyrdeer
  • Caprity x Beakon
  • Incineram x Surfent
  • Mossanda x Katress
  • Nitewing x Rayhound
  • Penking x Bushi

Palworld Penking Location

For this example, we are going to use Penking and Bushi to breed Anubis. Penking spawns in Wildlife Sanctuary 1 east of the Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach warp point. You will need a mount to cross the ocean. If you can’t make it to the Sanctuary, Penking also can be found as an Alpha Boss on the map below the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings war point and just northeast of the Desolate Church.

Palworld Bushi Location

Bushi can be found in the southern region of Mount Obsidian near the Mount Obsidian Anubis Statue fast travel point. For a full breakdown of the Pals’s exact location, check out our Where to Find Bushi in Palworld guide.

Now that you have two Pals on the list that can be bred, here are the steps to breed Anubis:

  • Craft the Breeding Farm after unlocking it at level 19.
  • Once you reach level 17, Craft a Cooking Pot and place it in your base.
  • Bake a Cake with your Cooking Pot using 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
  • Catch a Penking and a Bushi (or any of the Pals on the list above). Just make sure one is Male and the other Female, or else this won’t work.
  • Assign Bushi and Penking to the breeding farm by picking each Pal up and throwing them inside of the structure’s fence.
  • Find the wooden box on the side of the Breeding Farm and place your cake inside of it.
  • Wait around four minutes until the yellow breeding circle around your two Pals fills up.
  • A Huge Ground Egg should eventually appear inside your farm.
  • Pick up the Huge Egg, place it in an Egg Incubator at your base, and wait for it to hatch Anubis.

It may take a few hours until Anubis will hatch depending on your World Settings. In the main menu, you can change the length of time it takes for eggs to hatch. So, time will vary between players depending on which settings they have changed.

Where to find Anubis in Palworld – location

Anubis is located in the Twilight Dunes in Palworld and is an Alpha Boss in the middle of the Desert region north on the map. The Ground-type Pal spawns in at level 48, and will immediately start attacking you if you walk within a few feet from it.

You can find the exact location of Anubis on the map provided below:

Unfortunately, there is no other way to catch Anubis in the overworld. So your only options are to take on the level 48 Alpha Boss or to breed it. For most players trying to grind to level 50, breeding Anubis is their best option. The Ground-type is one of the most powerful attackers in the game, and is a great asset to your team when you are between levels 30 to 40.

Palworld is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
